An experienced, certified elections administrator based in Atlanta, Leonard Piazza serves DeKalb County, Georgia as election supervisor. He supervises elections in conjunction with diverse constituents that included community members, businesses, and government and professional agencies.
In his previous role as director of elections for Luzerne County, Pennsylvania he managed a $1.25 million budget, implemented the Help America Vote Act and launched the county’s electronic voting system. Leonard Piazza’s efforts streamlined protocol and decreased costs associated with election operations. Leading up to his role as the director of elections, Mr. Piazza served as a records management and information systems manager for the Luzerne Schuylkill Workforce Investment Agency and then as deputy director of elections.
In addition to his work with DeKalb and Luzerne Counties, Mr. Piazza worked for an election commissioner candidate as an ad hoc election administration advisor and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) field deputy. In this capacity, he offered advice on election administration and voter registration management, interviewed voters, and sought to promote the candidate.
Leonard Piazza graduated with his bachelor of arts in political science from King’s College. He completed additional studies at Luzerne County Community College.
